I am a fiber artist with a home and studio in the mountains of Asheville, NC. I create fiber art using complex but natural processes, starting with making botanical contact prints using leaves from my own yard. I enhance the leaf prints by layering natural dyes and processes on fine materials such as silk, linen, wool or cotton. Each step produces unexpected results, which keeps the process exciting

I’m inspired by nature’s abundant beauty and by my family heritage of craftsmen and artists. In addition to using natural materials, I employ slow, original handwork that adds another layer of color, line and texture.
